Week 2: To Live by the Spirit, Day 5: Spiritually Mature

Today’s Treasure: “What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.” 1 Corinthians 2:12

When we are spiritually mature, we can…

(1) Restore our brother or sister who it in sin (Galatians 6:1)

(2) Speak a message of wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:6)

(3) Receive spiritual revelation concerning the plans God has for our lives (1 Corinthians 2:9-10)

(4) Discern the things of God (1 Corinthians 2:14)

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, I can…Do things I couldn’t – Feel things I didn’t – Know the things I wouldn’t

Let us mature in our spirituality through daily Bible reading, prayer, and meditation. Our spiritual immaturity is manifested outwardly by: JEALOUSY and QUARRELING (1 Corinthians 3:3). As we move from this foundational study into the actual study of the Fruit of the Spirit, let us ask God to help us to be committed to what we endeavor to do. We want to GROW in GRACE…to do this we must LIVE BEYOND OURSELVES.
